he Polyvinyl Alcohol is made from vinyl acetate produced by means of the calcium carbide route, with methanol as its solvent and azo-diisobutyronitrile as the initiator, through polymerization, alcoholysis, disintegration, separation and desiccation. This co***ny has now had two sets of PVA production devices, one produces flocculent PVA of high alkali alcoholysis, the other does flaky PVA of low alkali alcoholysis.
The major specifications of the Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) of our co***ny are the following series of 17-99F(L), 17-99F(H), 17-99 (L), 17-99(H), 18-99(L), 18-99(H), 19-99(L), 22-99(L), 19-88, and the like. Special PVA of different viscosity and alcoholysis can be produced according to the requirements of our customers. Besides, PVA powder with mesh numbers 20-60 can also be provided.
PVB is a non-toxic, non-corrosive product. It has fine characteristics of tran***rence, insulation, film-forming properties, i***cting resistance and drawing performance. It is good in tensile strength, adhesiveness, elasticity, and free from inorganic and aliphatic acids. It also owns combination properties of light-proofness, freezing and aging resistance, etc.
PVB resin is not dissolved in water but soluble in organic solvents, such as alcohol, ester, ketone, benzene, and a mixed solvent with ethyl alcohol and aromatic hydrocarbon.
